Tuesday, November 16, 2021 - Professional Dinner Meeting

Topic:  Barcodingt

Guest Speaker: Ron Ford.

Ron Ford, President of AGiiLE which was incorporated in 2000 and has grown to be the largest barcode supplier in southwestern Ontario. Our crusade is to help our customers with their research in order that they become educated and informed, so that they are comfortable that they have made the right decision.

AGiiLE is a family business, and was founded by Ron Ford, who had worked for IBM and Intermec in the computer hardware industry. Ron was joined by his wife Brenda as the business continued to expand. In the beginning, AGiiLE offered printing services to print product labels for a local winery. Another project was to partner with a local photography studio to print ID cards for high school students. AGiiLE added a label printing system so that companies could print their own product labels and shipping labels. Today, AGiiLE offers innovative solutions such as customized Android programming that will scan a barcode and then print a perfect barcode label.

The Business London magazine helped us celebrate our 20 year anniversary with a special issue: Business London 2020 Milestones

AGiiLE has just rolled out an innovative online store that is available 24/7. The store makes it easy to select the best model and then select the features that are the best fit for the job. Once the model has been selected, then you can choose the accessories, service contract, and supplies from the comfort of your desk.

Customers have the choice of the best quality hardware from top manufacturers, such as Zebra, Honeywell, Epson and Datalogic. With these suppliers, AGiiLE is able to offer the full line of barcode printers, barcode scanners and mobile computers with integrated scanners.

There is no question that barcodes can be quite intimidating. There are questions on how to print a barcode and then how to scan that barcode. Companies know that barcodes will help track their inventory. However, they do not have the time or expertise to research all the options that are available to them. The choices can be overwhelming, as there are over 75 types of barcodes, and hundreds of barcode scanners and barcode printers.
